Some of them hate the movie coz human look pretty weak (guess those guys hate reality that much) and for me its quite ok for a genre coz this kind of movie theme is quite rare.
Ignoring what those [-ve] reviews mumble's in the dark corner while i hop along to the nearest DVD store and grab em..
After I've watch it..
The movie has one hell of a long and boring opening story line (for the love of god its and opening scene with no such connection with the real story of the movie).
Talk about corny dialogue, feels like watching cheap game cut scene.
As for the action's, what's more disappointing then corny dialogue?
Irrelevant story line and timing, it took 1 freakin day for the U.S army to take action.
Have u seen the helicopter and jets?? Hell yeah, a bunch of them doing sky love with da alien's octopus jet's. How about tanks? Military Humvee's? owh yeah, its ok..those alien's just came for a visit and borrowing some brains to take over the world.
They came with a Mothership but we greet them with 3 - 4 soldier with a sniper and a rocket launcher (great) with a bucket of cookies.
Enough about the thumbs down, the movie also have a good (average) story line and great CG effect, except for the last part where the couple got suck into the mother ship, there u can see the explosion effect got a little screwed up. but no harms done. The alien kick azz, they light up way cooler then Nissan skyline it self (lol, joking).
If your watching with a BluRay or Dvd with a TV set with steroid (HD Plasma what ever TV) please do kill the light, and let the blue bright light effect shines the room..
Overall the movie is not bad, and just a little tune up and off goes the boring lines then there u have it. Oww, before i forgot, the ending is pretty cool. Who would have thought that there's a little hope for man kind.
